Wool in summer? Yes. These Demet wool flowers are amazing. They bloom and sort of look alive. This structure sort of reminds me of something from an ocean (coral reef, maybe?). I call them pom-poms.

Whoohoo!! More yarn from Turkey...for the very first time in my life --- LINEN yarn. Well it's a linen blend and it's the first time that I got to work with linen yarn. So far I could make a tiny lace beret (this took close to 50 grams). Oolala. Checkout the stranded choker necklace to match. Voila!

It already feels like fall, and when that happens you get excited about crochet season! Something new for me to try, baby mittens. This calls for another challenge, using baby yarn.  I purchased some fine yarn from Turkey a while back that's a blend of 30% wool and 70% acrylic and wavy stranded (brown & green ones).   It is so soft and easy to crochet.  I also used Caron Simply Soft Light for a thicker affect (pink one).  So far I found that using single crochet stitches works up easy and fast with finer yarns, especially if you use a hook that is about one half size smaller than the yarn requires (this is just my opinion for this particular project). Instead of 3.0mm I used 2.5mm hook on the green & brown mitts.

More yarns!  I've ordered yarns from China before but without the tracking info.  I'm so excited for this first in a lifetime experience of receiving anything from Turkey, Asia!  I'm imagining that this is me travelling with the yarn so I'm posting the journey so far, >o<, lol.
