During the Mother's & Father's Day seasons I kept thinking about trying to crochet for babies. So lately I've been focused on a baby theme for most of my projects.  For June and July it's become the summer to crochet baby stuff I guess.  I'm making July baby theme month.  This baby crochet craze started off with a nursery mobile:

Ami is japanese for knitted. Amigurumi means knitted stuffed toys. Who can resist such cuteness! In my first attempt I used lace crochet thread. Boy, did that look weird. lol. Well I didn't have the appropriate supplies for this. After trying a thicker yarn and substituting other supplies I'm still very dissatisfied with the results! Working a cupcake pattern my product looks nothing like the model! Lesson>>> Using the necessary supplies is needed to obtain the best results for amigurumi. I'll keep moving forward anyway. ugh
